Daytime Hunks Of: All My Children

There once was a time when there were so many daytime soaps on air to choose from, now there are only a few.  With that being said I wanted to pay tribute to some of the sexy hunks of one of the longest running soaps on air: All My Children.

All My Children

Trent Garrett joined the cast of All My Children in 2010 as Asher Pike.

Mr. Garrett is a native of Hampton, VA. Before landing his All My Children role, Mr. Garrett starred in numerous commercials and made a guest appearance on 90210. His film credits include Slightly Single in L.A. and Last Call.

Vincent Irizarry first joined the cast of All My Children in November of 1997, in the role of the manipulative and menacing Dr. David Hayward. David returned to Pine Valley in June of 1998. The role earned Mr. Irizarry an Emmy Nomination as Outstanding Lead Actor in 2002.

Cornelius Smith Jr. graduated from Cass Tech High School in Detroit and went on to study at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He did his graduate work at the prestigious NYU Tisch School of the Arts.

Mr. Smith started singing in Detroit with his own group, Chapta II. After moving to New York, he appeared in Shakespeare in the Park’s production of Romeo and Juliet with stars Lauren Ambrose and Camryn Manheim. All My Children is his first television role.

Jordi Vilasuso joined the cast of All My Children in 2010 as Dr. Griffin Castillo. Mr. Vilasuso grew up in south Florida, the middle child in a Cuban American family.

His acting breakthrough came in 2000 when he was cast as Tony Santos on Guiding Light. He would remain in the role until 2003. Along the way, he was nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actor, and in 2003 he won the award.

After Guiding Light, Mr. Vilasuso appeared on shows such Numb3rs, CSI: Miami, 8 Simple Rules, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Fashion House.

Ricky Paull Goldin left Another World for Broadway in 1993, where he played Danny Zuko in Grease. He landed back in daytime with a stint on The Young and the Restless from 1999-2001 before arriving on Guiding Light to play lawman Gus Aitoro. He left the show in 2008, and joined All My Children.

Jacob Young joined the cast of All My Children in the role of JR Chandler in September 2003. He received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in his first year on the show. His second nomination for this role came in 2005.

In 2000, Mr. Young joined the cast of General Hospital, playing the role of Lucky Spencer. The role garnered him the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Lead Actor in May 2002.

Mr. Young portrayed Rick Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, during which he received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Younger Lead Actor. His feature film credits include The Girl Next Door, with additional television credits for the ABC movie The Beach Boys: An All American Family and ABC’s Hope & Faith.


Cameron Mathison joined the cast of All My Children in 1998 as Ryan Lavery. After leaving the show for a year, he returned in 2003 to reprise this fan-favorite role.

Born and raised in Canada, Mr. Mathison attended McGill University in Montreal and graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree. He was also captain of the Red Men Basketball team. A member of the Celebrity Players Tour which travels to over 16 cities across the United States, Mr. Mathison can sometimes be glimpsed by fans on their local golf courses.

He guest starred on ABC’s Hope & Faith, hosted SOAPnet’s original reality series, I Wanna Be a Soap Star, serves as a correspondent for the television show Extra, and has been a guest entertainment anchor for the CW Morning News. In September 2007, Mr. Mathison joined the cast of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

In 1999, Mr. Mathison received the Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Male Newcomer and Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2002 and 2005.
